One of my friends who saw the big, black cat was able to pull out binoculars and take a closer look. Jaguar, mountain lion, bobcat, ocelot, and jaguarundi. I�ve seen many, many bobcats and this was many times larger than that and jet black. The margay weighs from about 5 to 8 or 9 pounds, with a body length of 19 to 31 inches, and a tail length of 13 to 20 inches.
